The Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, is a time of celebration and renewal in Chinese culture. It marks the transition from one animal sign to another in the Chinese zodiac. On February 10, 2024, we will enter the Year of the Wood Dragon.

The Dragon is a majestic and lucky creature in Chinese folklore, symbolizing bravery, creativity, and innovation. According to the Chinese horoscope, 2024 is a year full of potential and opportunities for personal growth, professional success, and social impact.

Dragon people are charismatic, ambitious, adventurous, and fearless. They have confidence, independence, and vision. They are not afraid to pursue their dreams and goals.

How Do You Know If You’re a Dragon?

Unlike the solar calendar, which has fixed dates for each month, the lunar calendar has variable dates that depend on the phases of the moon.

This means that the beginning and end of each year in the Chinese zodiac may not coincide with the Gregorian calendar.

To determine if you were born under the sign of the Dragon, you need to match your birth date with the corresponding Dragon cycle periods.

For example, these are the exact dates for the last six Dragon years in the past:

    • 2012: January 23, 2012 – February 9, 2013
    • 2000: February 5, 2000 – January 23, 2001
    • 1988: February 17, 1988 – February 5, 1989
    • 1976: January 31, 1976 – February 17, 1977
    • 1964: February 13, 1964 – February 1, 1965
    • 1952: January 27, 1952 – February 13, 1953

If you were born in one of these periods, you are a Dragon.
